The author discusses the category of readerly pleasure developed by Roland Barthes, primarily in his famous essays “From Work to Text” and The Pleasure of the Text; he also reconstructs Jan Błoński’s views expressed in the programmatic essay Romans z tekstem [Love affair with the text].
